ChatSpot.ai & Content Assistance from HubSpot

It seems like everywhere you look, a new integration with ChatGPT is created.  And now, it’s in your CRM and Marketing Automation systems.  Hubspot has released an Alpha of their latest integration.  For fun, we decided to ask ChatGPT what it though of ChatSpot – Hubspot’s new integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

While only in its alpha stage, ChatSpot.ai is still one of the most cutting-edge CRM tools we’ve seen thus far. By using the power

  • Create Google Sheets/Slides based on queried data
  • Ai generated photos
  • Query using Speech-to-Text

Salesforce Visualforce to Lightning – Revamp your org

In 2015, Salesforce released its new Lightning experience with the goal to reduce the barrier to entry. As with any new software, there were
some growing pains.
Flash forward to 2023, the Lightning experience is practically a no-brainer.
Visualforce Lightning
Difficult to adjust code Easier to maintain
More reliant on developers More manageable for admins
Custom code required Out of the box
Out-dated Lessens the load on developers
Over the past 8 years, Lightning has matured, adding features such as
“Screen Flows” that help streamline the process.
The biggest upside to this migration is that it turns developer work into far
more manageable admin work. Yes, you are going to have to scrap a lot (if not all) of your custom code within Visualforce, but this clunky code will be
replaced by far more use-friendly Screen Flows.

Salesforce mass text messaging integration with Plivo

Having previously developed a custom integration with Zipwhip, we saw the need to port the integration to a new API since Zipwhip was acquired by Twilio.

While Twilio makes a great product, we found that Plivo had some advantages:

  • User-friendly interface
  • Ability to create custom logic through flows
  • Plivo offers a nice interface as opposed to Twilio which is only API based
  • Flexibility to create custom inbound actions based on salesforce data
  • More cost efficient
  • Single-user sendng
  • Stored credentials

salesforce Outlook connector retiring – how does Einstein compare?

As many of you know, salesforce is now retiring their Outlook Connector for salesforce

How does Einstein Activity Capture compare to how Outlook sync works?  Are there any additional costs?

Einstein Activity Capture is included in your salesforce license cost.  However, there are a few drawbacks to using EAC.

  • EAC does NOT use standard object (Activities, Events)
    • This causes problems in the following ways:
      • Difficult reporting – not following the standard Task/Event/Activity process you are likely reporting on today.
      • Migrating away from EAC after implementing will cause you to lose your old data
      • There is a limited storage of activities – 2 years worth – historical reporting is limited.
  • Here at Eustace Consulting, we recommend Groove.  It has a very minimalist interface, with loads of other tools to boot!

salesforce.com MFA mandatory in Q1 of 2022!

Salesforce.com is requiring all salesforce logins to have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled by February of 2022.  What does this mean for you?

  • Eustace Consulting will require their own login to your salesforce instance (no more sharing logins with your admin!)
  • We can assist in evaluating your security and user needs and plan how MFA will be rolled out within your organization
    • Assist in selecting your MFA Verification method
      • salesforce authenticator
      • Third-party authenticators

    • Ensure that users can register and login for MFA, eliminating any problems or difficulties
    • Monitor feedback, track MFA usage, and perform MFA maintenance and upkeep when necessary.

NPI Registry Integration with salesforce.com

Are you in the medical or Healthcare industry and are currently using salesforce.com? We’ve recently worked with a few medical tech companies that are and had the need to integrate the National Provider Identifier database (NPI) (https://npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov/) with salesforce.com. Lucky for us, NPI has an open API (Application Programming Interface) and can easily interface with salesforce.com!

What is the NPI? The NPI is a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Administrative Standard. An NPI is a unique identification number for covered health care providers, created to improve the efficiency and
effectiveness of electronic transmission of health information. Covered health care providers, all health plans,
and health care clearinghouses must use NPIs in their administrative and financial transactions.

Salesforce CPQ and CPQ Alternatives

Salesforce CPQ. You’re curious about it. Your salesforce reps have been telling you about it and you’re unsure what to make of it.

We’ve been implementing salesforce CPQ since back in the days of Steelbrick. If you’re looking for a partner to implement or improve your CPQ or CPQ+ implementation, we’re here to help.

That being said, CPQ is not a one-size-fits-all product. Often times companies are working with a smaller list of products without much complexity. Or maybe there are one or two parts of CPQ that could really help in your sales process, but you can’t bite off the cost of the whole product. Eustace Consulting Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

Somehow, we’ve hit a big milestone here. 10 years ago, I quit my job in corporate America. It all started by responding to salesforce craigslist ads, hanging flyers in the gym for computer repair, and even pondering starting a dog walking business.

All in all, I can’t thank the innumerable family, friends, partnerships, clients, employees, contractors, and people that were willing to go out on a limb and have faith in me and what we can accomplish together

Below is a snapshot of some highlights over the last 10 years. While it doesn’t quite highlight everything, it’s fun to look back and see how far we’ve come. To continued success and happiness!
