We’ve recently created some functionality that allows an individual to associate any folder in box.com with a corresponding salesforce.com record.
The out-of-the-box integration forces you to use a preset file structure and creates new folders under a “salesforce” root folder, disrupting any potential file structure you may already have in place.
Here is the default screen with no folder associated in salesforce.com:
Note the Box Folder Id highlighted at the top in the screenshot.
By grabbing the unique id from box.com and plugging it into that field, we now can associate any file with your salesforce record!
