ChoicePass has announced on their blog that they have been acquired by Salesforce.com. They wrote:
Today, we’re delighted to announce that the ChoicePass team will be joining salesforce.com. We share the same vision and passion for employee recognition, as well as our entrepreneurial spirit.
It’s a huge opportunity for us to pursue our passions on a much larger scale, and with a company that is helping businesses meet the challenge of the social revolution with its social enterprise solution.
ChoicePass partners with local companies to offer customized rewards and employee “perks”. They offer a technology that allows employees to discover, redeem and share the corporate benefits. In other words, they bring large company rewards to everyone else. It allows smaller companies to gain access to larger corporate perks that they wouldn’t normally be able to afford.
According to their blog post, ChoicePass will be closed as of June 30, 2012.
Salesforce has been on a roll snapping up social media connections like Buddy Media and partnering with Twitter to benefit the Radian6 product. Social media is playing a larger role in today’s marketing industry. CRM technology needs to take on take social, corporate, and marketing data to create one platform. It looks like Salesforce is staying one step ahead of the game.
