The 4 Disciplines of Execution written by Sean Covey, Chris McChesney, and Jim Huling is a book about achieving your most important goals within your organazation, be it large or small. It has allegedly be implemented by companies such as Marriott International, The Kroger Co., and The McDonalds Corporation. If you haven’t read it yet, we at Eustace highly recommend it.
According to the authors, much of the success of acieveng your most imporant goals is the measurement of the factors which influence the target you’re shooting for, and subsequently measuring your progress towards that target.
Maybe you’re trying to achieve a larger number of web site visits, or an increase in the sales of a specific product. Whatever that goal might be, chances are you can track both the things that lead to that goal as well as the goal itself. Most importantly though, doing so within Salesforce will help drive adoption of Salesforce, and provide that all important dashboard for displaying those results to the users and their peers.
